Florence

Only 40 minutes by car, Florence (or Firenze as it is known locally) is packed with places to visit. The Duomo dominates the sky-line and is the 4th largest cathedral in the world with a large pink, white and green marble facade. Don't forget a visit to the famous Uffizi gallery.

Lucca

In just half an hour you can be in Lucca. Lucca is the only Italian town to be entirely surrounded by walls. If you've a head for heights, why not climb the Guinigi tower for a stunning view of the town? It's an unusual tower as it has a tree growing on top of it!

Sienna

A bit further away, at approximately an hour's drive, is Sienna. Sienna is built on three hills and is located right in the heart of Tuscany. It has a medieval appearance characterised by narrow, winding streets.

Casciana Terme

Just 10 Minutes drive from the villa is the pretty spa town of Casciana Terme which boasts a fantastic natural spa with renowned healing properties. The town also has a lovely square ideal for letting the children have a run while you enjoy a coffee, pretty shops and a good selection of restaurants. The Thermal Baths are fantastic!

Castiglioncello

Just an hours drive and far less commercial then most Italian beaches, the pretty seaside town of Castiglioncello has a great selection of seafood restaurants. There are rocky promontories off which to swim as well as small beaches ideal for children.
