About the villa

Poggio ai Venti is a restored hilltop farmhouse (c 1781) located within 12 acres of farmland and boasting spectacular panoramic views of the Tuscan landscape.

It is situated near the village of Crespina, just 25 minutes drive from Pisa airport. This holiday villa in Tuscany is an ideal base from which to explore many of Italy's major cities.

The estate has wonderful gardens, a large shaded lawn, herb and vegetable gardens, orchards, olive groves and woodland.

Fresh vegetables, eggs and chicken are available to guests.

There are stables (but currently no horses).

A 12m x 6m swimming pool is now open and available for use

The ground and gardens are managed on daily basis by Leonello and his wife Nara.

In front of the house and adorned with flowers is a large terraced area with options for dining under a vined pergola or beneath shaded pine trees.

There is also a traditional wood burning pizza oven and separate BBQ area.

Accommodation

The interior has white washed walls and exposed beams, terracotta tiled floors and is decorated with traditional dark wood furniture.

The house is cool in summer and also provides a cosy winter retreat. Some parts of the villa have underfloor heating and there are open fires in the kitchen and two first floor bedrooms. There is a large split level sitting room and dining room and a full sized billiard table. The house includes a laundry room.
